Engine management light and glow plug light won't light up, not starting ?

New turbo fitted, friend put a live feed from solonoid to battery then car started, when you turned off again it won't start, but turning over, even with the wire back on. The engine management light and glow plug lights won't come on when you turn ignition on. I have a renault megane scenic 2002. 1.9DTCI Any ideas what is wrong.
