how do I unlock my kenmore dishwasher?

on my model i held the air dry button. very helpful site! i'm so happy that i don't have to handwash my dishes!

I cannot get my "lock" light to quit blinking, therefore, it is not letting me do anything with any of the controls, such as START...HELP!!!

thanks it worked great and just spent $200 on new disposal not counting plumber and all I needed was more money on the dishwasher.

Same problem with Maytag. Holding in the heated dry button worked, in 3 seconds!

press and hold the 'heated dry' button for 4 seconds
it will go off...

( 4 seconds is longer than you think.. wait for it! )

just hold the "heated on" button until it goes off.
it should take about 5 or 6 seconds.

I had the exact same problem! The lock on wouldn't stop blinking. I tried evrything and then I decided to leave the door open so I didn't have to look at that annoying red light. About 6 hours later I was showing someone. I closed the door. the red light appeared, and then I hit the "no heat" and this time it went off!! Apparently, leaving the door ajar for a period of time resets the controlls> Good Luck. I certainly did not receive ANY help from Sears. THey wanted to charge me $69 just to look at it! Grrrrr.
