vectra main beam shines to floor?

I have the same problem with my offside lamp at the moment, my problem is being caused by the hight adjuster motor having broken and jammed in the lowest possible position. A new motor can be fitted, somehow, but I am still to work out how to do more than unlock the motor from its bracket without damaging the bracket attached to the rear of the lens unit.

On alot of these the adjustment screw has a plastic nut on the end and it becomes brittle with time ect......there is a screw on top of headlamp that adjust the up and down of the beam and there is one on the side that adjusts the sideways of the beam .......
