Mend Electrolux TV 540 Start 30 Seconds

How can I fix my Electrolux TV 540?

It doesn't seem to be taking in the petrol if i use the primer it will start for about 30 seconds then stop?

I had the same problem then I found that my rubber fuel pipe had rotted so I replaced it and it was fine after.
