I've had this machine since 1966. The machine works great except that the tension on the bobbin thread is way too loose. Adjusting the tension knob has no effect and turning the little screw which is near the winding botton in the bobbin case either clockwise or counter-clockwise has no effect. Is is time for a new machine?
Hello Joyce,
Make sure there is not a small piece of lint stuck in the bobbin case spring, top tension should be no more that 5, may be time for a new bobbin case otherwise, shame to get rif of that model you definitely won't buy a quality machine like that again.
