Mend Subaru 2000 Turbo Engine Compression

motor blowing smoke?

I understand that my Suburu 2000 turbo has a phase 1 engine.

Problem is the motor is blowing smoke suddenly.

Replaced the turbo and the seal but it still smokes and has a rough idle. Plug leads were pulled out while running and it indicated that there is lack of compression or spark in two plugs.

Please let me know the reason for this,

Lack of comppression is usually a ring problem but can also be a vavle problem ....you said it was two cylinders ...if the cylinders are side by side it could be a blown headgasket ...is it white smoke or blue smoke
White would indicate coolant meaning headgasket and blue is a oil burning problem meaning rings
