Mend Hotpoint 17351 Dryer Heater Panel

how do i remove the front cover from a hotpoint 17351?

I am trying to replace the heater element in my 17351. I think I should be able to do this from the front, without removing the drum, but I can't get the front cover off. There are 2 screws at the bottom of the cover that I have removed, but the top of the cover seems to be held firmly in place by the control panel.

pull off the knob and remove two screws behind this removes top panel you can them remove the front

but it is not hard to remove drum and go at it from back as the whole heat shield has to be removed to get at element
