i changed the filters?

I changed the filters on the vac and now the bottom filter door shots off when I vacuum and the the vac blows air as well as pickup.
the suction is not operating as well as it should why does it blow the dirt around that you are trying to pickup?
Why won't the bottom filter case stay on?
The pressure blows it off completely.
What is going on ?
