How to release air lock in gas trimmer line?

bought gas trimmer Model Y28VP ( MTD LLC Product)
mixed fresh gas & oil for first attempt to start unit & followed directions re: start very carefully. Unit failed to start after several attempts. Must be an air lock in fuel line but how to release this condition?
