Is the machine drum turning during the wash?
If it is not, the belt may have snapped. UN-PLUG the machine and remove the lid. If the belt, which is at the rear of the machine on a large metal wheel, (like a cartwheel), is still attached, then the motor may be faulty.
If the drum turns when washing but is more noisy when spinning, e.g. whinning/squealing, then the drums bearing may need replacing.
If the drum has ceased turning altogether during the wash and spin, manually turn the drum and listen for squeaking or roughness. If it turns without any problem and the belt is attached, motor needs replacing.
