Some kind of fan noise on the inside of Vauxhall Vectra 2ltr GLS?

Hi i have just bought a V reg Vectra when the engine is running you can hear a whine like its a fan on the inside of the car, when you excelerate it sometimes goes away but will return and allso when you take the key out it keeps running but slowes down to a stop after about 10 secs can anyone point me in the right direction as how to stop/find whats doing it

hi sorry i do not have pics available for you but the tensoiner is usually located below the top belt pully you can move it up and down it is connected to a housing which works on a spring if you take it to a garage they will point you to the location of it hope this helps

sounds as though belt tensioner is going can pick them up pretty cheap and easy to do aswell have pics but cant post them unfortunately my pc bit daft at the mo gud luk with it tho
