Hello - buy the master cylinder from a good factors such as GSF or Eurocarparts...much cheaper than from Monsieur Renault! Its not difficult to fit really, but hopefully without sounding patronising you need to know what you are doing! Basically it means disconnecting the 4 brake pipes that come from the master cylinder, and unbolting the cylinder from the brake servo. The new cylinder comes without the plastic fluid reservoir, and this is swapped over from the old one - its just a push fit onto some pegs. With the new cylinder bolted in place, the brake pipes are reconnected and the reservoir filled up with brake fluid. Now the fun starts...its vital that all air is expelled from the system, which sometimes can mean bleeding new fluid from each front brake caliper and each rear brake slave cylinder. In practice though its usually possible to expel all of the air from the cylinder itself by opening all of those brake pipe nuts again and letting the fluid run through by gravity....why not get a quote from an independant garage?
