hi neil sounds like you might have answered your own question but batteries dont just die overnight. before you start buying a new one, check the main fuse has not blown (located beside battery) & that your battery leads are tight. if these are ok then its probably a new battery. if you know a friendly bike dealer then ask them to check the battery with a multimeter to see if its dead. hope this helps.......happy motoring.
