Mend Mira 4+ Need New Shower Unit

Do I need a new shower unit?

I have a Aquatronic 4+ electric shower. This morning Iwas cleaning the inside of the cubicle. I turned the shower head away from me, the water was running over the shower unit. There was a loud bang, and the shower stopped working.Dark water cme from the unit and the shower head.
