The axe of the switch pusher in right angle looses its quality (it is plastic) and the pressing
down is not complete.

I have inserted against that piece of right angle lever a simple erasing gum piece, in which I have
made an V incission setting it tigh against the
axe central point of that right angle lever.
You can lean that gum piece against the firm plastic piece at the back of the plastic support, that resist well the handling.

Other, and I think the better solution, is screwing down an adjustment for the to the down plate of the right angle lever, insertig a screw down
from the outside carcass to reach the down plane of the right angle switch button pusher.

Yo can handle and calibrate it perfectly from outside, avoiding any subsequente work of
dismounting.

Make a little hole in the cover and screw down till obtain the right opperation level.

I have done so.

I had the same problem, the switch is operated by a very complicated lever set up, the actual operating switch is located inside the plastic housing towards the rear of the saw, about 120mm from the on/off sliding mechanism. When moving the slide forward an operating rod attached to the slide operates a right angled lever that depresses a plunger on the switch. Unfortunately the position of the switch plunger is so close to the fulcrum of the operating lever that the actual movement of the lever relative to the plunger is very limited and is barely enough to depress the plunger and make electrical contact, therefore minimal wear in the mechanism will result in failure! I got over the problem by removing the right angled lever, glueing a small piece of flat plastic to the levers operating face causing the plunger to depress further resulting in a positive contact! If you feel competent enough to tackle the job, make sure as always to disconnect from the mains and replace the switch housing before reconnecting, If in doubt consult a qualified professional!

Had the same problem.Opened up the back, checked the switch and found one pole not working. Contacted Domestic Electrical Solutions on 01902498403 (they deal with Parkside warranties) A new switch was ordered total price £13.50.
Initially told that spares were no longer available, but requested them to check and lo & behold they could get one although it may take some time!!

I made a temporarily fix. I opened the switch and took out the inside parts and made a directly contact by two small wires (braze), and it works fine.
But remember, the saw start immediately you connect the plug...

Have the same problem, it is the switch. The switch is made of lousy material or construction. I have used the saw only for half an hour.
I dont know where to buy a new one, someone out there who knows ??
