probem with hazard light?

i have a 03 vauxhall zafira and went to change the light under the rear number plate, as i did both the lights went off aswell as the hazard light on the right hand side, it still works ok as a brake light but does not stay on to be a hazard light, the left side works fine, i have changed the bulbs for new ones and have changed the 5 amp fuse and still no joy. only tryed to change the bub as its my mot tomorrow any help please
