my daewoo lanos 1.6 sx is eating the petrol it has done 146 miles on 3 quarters of a tank what could it be please any suggestions

Anything from a clogged air filter to binding brakes Jeff - I think you need a professional diagnosis on this one, or the catalytic converter will be damaged by the excess fuel....especially if the engine management light is on.
