Mend Renault Laguna 1.8 RT Working Work Full

my petrol guage is not working in my 97 laguna 1.8 RT?

my petrol guage will not work, even will a full tank of petrol the guage still shows an empty tank. I think it could be my sender unit on my petrol tank that needs changed but am not 100% sure. how can i find out? and how do i change that sender unit if thats the problem?

Renault Renault Laguna 1.8 RT Vehicles, Cars Working Work Full

I am having exactly the same problem in my 97 laguna 1.8 RT that I have just bought.

I have been told that it is likely to be either a fuse, the wiring or the sender unit in the petrol tank.

I am planning to check the fuse but if it is one of the other problems then I havent got a clue how to deal with it.
