how can i fix vauxhall astra 1.6 8 valve ?

vehicle starts o/k runs o/k when cold but when it gets hot puffs black smoke and missfires it has had a new egr valve and head gasget recently

You can only blanc off your EGR valve on the later 2001 mpi models. Can't do it with the earlier pre 2000 spi models. I know, as I own a 2000 Astra 1.6 8v.
Any ECU light? ECU diagnostic port under handbrake lever inside car. Diagnostic reader plugged in there.

hey dude the bes thing you can do with that is completely block off the e.g.r valve it is completely useless. your car will still pass mot and that should help you car run a little smoother email me if u need anymore help.
