How can I re set the remote for my R reg Vauxhall Omega Estate?

Is the red light on the fob coming on when you push the button? It might need a new battery.
To re-set-
Put the key in the ignition.
Turn key to position 2 (dashboard lights on, dont start engine).
Press and hold the button (it doesnt seem to matter which one, try both) on the remote.
Doors should lock then unlock.
You may have to push the button a few times to make it work.
