got the same problem with a 2.2 vectra petrol, cant see anything wrong in tank, but must be something going wrong in there

Is it worse when the fuel tank is below 15 litres? There is a problem with the 'swirl pot' in the tank.
When you go round a corner or exit a roundabout too fast the fuel runs to the side of the tank away from the pump. This makes the engine cut out momentarily.
It can be replaced, or you can just put a bit more fuel in!
