Mend Mountfield SP470 Mower Carb Start Fuel

how easy is it to clean a petrol mower carb ?

I have a mountfield sp470 which wont start due to contaminated fuel in my opinion. A local mower repairer has quoted me £100+ for a service and carb clean. I can by a second hand petrol mower for less than that, but I was thinking about trying to fix it myself. is it a difficult job to fix ?

very fiddly if you don't know what you are doing! We charge £45 (driven mower £35 non driven) for a service & £15 for a carb clean. Where are you?
