my ballcock has come away from the arm?

the over flow pipe is running water constant, because the arm is without the ballcock. i have kept the arm up by tying this to a high beem

you need to replace the ball cock compleately,they range between £10and £20 depending on type fitted,you will need to take it with you when you buy a new one.isolate the water feed to your tank,undo nut attached to ball cock.then undo large flat nut holding ballcock to tank,reverse process to refit,hope it helps.

If plastic super glue it back on or change the arm for same type you will have to buy the whole valve assembly so take digi picture down to plumbers to get the same type. You may find if the thread on the end of the arm is ok unless it's' snapped off you might only need a new float.
