Mend Worcester Bosch 240 Heating

We have a worcester bosch 240 boiler, yet we cant use "On Demand"?

We have a worcester bosch 240 boiler, yet the "On Demand" switch doesnt work when it is on. If we turn on the hot tap cold water just pours out and the boiler doesnt fire up. The only way we can get hot water is if we turn heating and water on but then we got to wait for the water to heat up and it uses too much gas..

Any idea's will be appreciated =)
