clutch pedal gone loose?

have a good look at the clutch pedal and check where clutch master cylinder push-rod fits into plastic bush,and see if it pushes in when pedal is pressed, a common fault is for metal portion at pedal end where plastic bush pushes against,to break away causing loss of clutch. if so will need pedal assy removing and repair or replace it!
