I duct taped mine, every time I us it I curse Frigidaire. Next time I'll get a Better brand.

Mine broke too but I wasn't about to spend 100 bucks for a replacement. Here's how I fixed it...permanently for $3.

1. Removed the broken handle from the microwave door.
2. Gathered up the broken pieces and superglued them back into place.
3. Bought some Loctite 2-part epoxy and mixed the entire batch.
4. Poured half of the mixed epoxy into each well at the ends of the handle (surrounding the screw post). *Note: There is enough epoxy in one batch to fill each well perfectly.
5. Waited for the handle to cool down. Epoxy gets hot when you mix it in large quantities... but not hot enough to damage or deform the handle.
6. Sanded the outside of the handle (where I superglued the pieces back together).
7. Repainted the handle gloss black.

Voila! A $3 fix, and you won't believe how strong the handle becomes once you've added the epoxy.

My Frigidaire's handle broke too! It's very cheap plastic and Frigidaire should send replacement to direvtly to owners free of charge! Really sucks when they charge $120 for cheap handle.

My microwave door handle is also broke. The cheapest microwave door handle I found for sale online is outrageously priced at $120. That's crazy for a piece of plastic. I called Frigidaire, and they will not send a microwave handle directly to you, but they will send the microwave handle to one of their listed appliance repair vendors and gave me a "part concession number" and phone numbers to call in my area. I wanted to repair it myself to save money. Hopefully the appliance repair company does not cost more than the lowest price I found for the microwave handle. I read posts on another site that said Electrolux shipped handles to the owner directly. My microwave model number is also FMV156DCB.

You can do this with the door on. Using a small sharp screwdriver (or other similar tool or tools) gently pry the inside panel out slowly working around the edge. If you get three sides out (excet for the hinge side) you can get at the two screws.

Go to partselect.com and enter in your microwave model number then type in the part "handle". It will show you the assembly for the entire door. The handle itself is quit expensive $30 for something so cheap and fragile.
