Will only scan 2 channels and only 1 frequency found aerial is ok

unplug your box and wait 20 sec, then plug it back in while pressing the on button again and again until light flashes and changes colour, then press the up, down, left, right. then should reset but will wipe all on hard drive.

I went through the procedure suggested on the TopUp TV site and, after about four tries, it worked.
I have another of these boxes that I had abandoned and I am going to try to rescue this too.
Don't give up folks!

Took a couple goes to get it right but it did work fine ... lost a few shows though which is annoying

But do wait a couple of minutes on the red before trying to switch on

Instead of pressing the arrows up, down, left and right 1nce repeat it in sequence three times.

My Thomson top-up box red light changed to orange when I was sitting at my computer on Sunday afternoon. I have had this replacement top-up box in April 2009, my top-up box went wrong. When I tried to watch later that evening I couldn't switch it on. I have tried to phone customer service but only got a standard message on the phone. I am not too pleased with this service as I pay £9.99 up front. I have tried the reset procedure three times but that hasn't worked What should I do?

Just sorted my problem, and obviously TopupTv are aware of it.
Go to topupTv Website and click on "urgent box information" (or something like that) and then choose the problem that matches yours and you will see a reset procedure which re formats the hard drive. You will lose any recordings though, but it does work and mine is working now.

I have not got an answer yet but my box is only 14 months old and got the same fault on the 4th May in the evening. I suspect some download has corrupted the software.
