Mend Hitachi Case Open Turn

How can I fix my Hitachi camera?

The camera was turned on whilst still in its case, so the lens tried to open. Now when I turn the camera on the zoom will not come out and the lens will not open. I can hear a clicking sound as though something is trying a make a connection but failing.
