how can I get my scenic 1.6 2003 to start?

Hi

I read on another forum that if the battery is failing then the Scenic will turn over but not start. Get the battery charged and see if it will start. If it starts then you need a new battery, if not the problem is elsewhere.

could be immobiliser try switching on ignition while switched on press any button on fob for 20 seconds and see if this resets the immobiliser

hi there i know of renaults having abit of a immobiliser problem, this happened to a scienic in my old street and a freinds megane 1600.
they had to just keep unlocking the car then locking it for a few times and eventually it would fire up. my friend with the megane recently had the immobiliser bypassed (disconnected) and has never had a problem like it since, just something to look into. other than that it could be the fuel pump

Is the immobiliser light on the dashboard flashing when you try to start?
Was the engine running OK before this or was there any other prior problem?
