How can I get my Thomson DVB 250 to boot up?

do a search on youtube. There's a sequence of button pushes you need to do. You will unfortuately lose the contents of the hard drive.

I have got the DVB160 and it locked up, no picture or sound output just lights flashing. the Remote control done nothing
Solved it by:
Switch off at supply, leave for 20/30 seconds Hold in the standby and plug back while still holding in the standby buton for about 3 seconds untill you see the 1st light flash on the front and press up,down,left,right
leave alone for at least 1 minute.
then press the standby button again and the light on the front should turn green
Or on the remote control Press the DTR button then the on button on the top right of the control

Now it should work, All previous stored recordings will be lost.

THIS WORKS ON DVB250 and 160 not sure about others

Excellent the 1st response worked, and you were right I lost all my recordings etc but all my channels are still there! thank you

unfortunatly this has affected a few people this weekend if ypu left your box on theres only 1 solution a full reboot but be warned you will loose every recording on the box.. 1 unplug the box from the back of it leave for 20secs. 2 plug back in while holding the standby button on the front of the box. 3 as soon as you get a light on the front of box press up,down,left,right on the front of the box. 4 leave the box to run through a cycle takes about 60secs the box will then go into standby mode then switch on. you will then have to do a full rescan and basicly start from scratch

My thomson dv3 is doing the same thing as of this morning (5th May 2009) - some kind of corrupt software upload last night?
