how can I fix my laguna 1998dti sports injection problem?

The car needs to be plugged into a diagnostic machine and have the fault codes read,these will indicate the cause of the light,s coming on.
Renault main dealers can do this but are very expensive or some auto electrician will be able to do the same.
But get the codes read first before giving them the go ahead to fix the fault as it could be very expensive.
