Hotpoint CTD85 tumbledryer: F10 error code?

My Hotpoint CTD85 tumble dryer has the following problem: Heat is intermittent (sometimes it works, other times it just tumbles without heat). It is displaying error code 'F10'.
Was does this error code indicate?
Where can i obtain a parts diagram for the machine?
Where is the best place to by the parts? (Hotpoint service are quoting £100 call out fee plus the same to fix! No thanks - DIY!

Many thanks to Dean, Trevor for resolving this problem as my wife is really happy now. I did follow the instructions as you've wrote down in this forum and it was a loud click then I put it back together and tested it, Hurrah.... working like a new one.

Many thanks

Take off plastic back panel in centre of machine at rear attached by two screws. Then remove the raised panel which is attached by approx 8- 10 screws. inside this panel is the thermostat which is then removed by two screws on the raised panel. Once removed, you will see three small disks. one of the disks has a hole in the centre. press the hole with a pin and you will here it click. put back together, and your thermostat has been reset.
Make sure you have cleaned all vents, as this may have been the cause for the thermostat tripping in the first place.

Trever, would like to personally thank you for this advice - it worked a treat, Having just been made redundant the thought of having to buy a new machine was just not high on the priority list. - Many Thanks..

It needs resetting.

Take off the back panel and the on the back of the panel is another panel with 2 screws. undo those and you will see 2 disks, 1 white, 1 brown/black. The brown/black one will have a hole in the middle. Poke a pin into the hole and you will hear a click. The machine is reset and just reassemble the panels
