Mend Button Come Out

Prime button wont come out?

Have not used the mower for a while and put fuel in today and primed as usual the red button is now staying in and fuel is not coming through. i have tried removing primer which came out but same keeps happening any ideas please

There are 'flap valves' incorporated in the carburettor diaphragm that allow the fuel to prime - I guess its time to strip the carb down and replace them.
