Turn water supply off
Remove ball valve assembly (spanner or multigrip & reasonable force needed)
Fit new assembly
Turn water on
Check for leaks and adjust as required.
It's a rare thing to actually change one - usually the washer in the valve gets replaced - far easier and far cheaper.
