Before releasing the pressure from the system you must first crack the rear spheres by a half turn otherwise you will have major trouble undoing them. The system pressure holds them in place, once this is released the struts are free to twist and you will probably snap the connecting pressure pipe if you try to undo them unless you have loosened them a little first. Dont undo them more than half a turn as the pressure is very high and would certainly do you a lot of damage if you completely unscrewed them. Once loosened they will undo very easily.

Hi...... is there a release pressure screw on the rear accumulator or is there just one screw for the whole of the car at the front? cheers

the rear of car must be placed on axle stands, or placed on a ramp or over a pit first the front is ok on flat ground, start the car, put the height control lever to minimum then undo the 13 mm bolt mounted on the pressure regulator half a turn ,DO NOT REMOVE THIS BOLT it has a spring & ballbearing behind it ,the pressure regulator is mounted on the front of the engine & has the accumalator sphere mounted on it, you should hear a whistling noise as the fluid returns to the reservoir, the spheres are then unscrewed with a chain wrench , strap wrenches are not strong enough, when undoing the rear spheres, be careful the strut does"nt turn & damage the hydraulic pipe, when fitting new spheres ,put the rubber sealing ring in the strut first, you should also replace the accumalator sphere at the same time to as this takes the strain off the pump , when finished, start car, run for 2 mins then tighten pressure release bolt, this will bleed the system, put the height control lever to max & check fluid level
