my panasonic sl-sx430 wont read cds?

My panasonic mp3/cd player SL-SX430 just wont work ive changed the batteries checked for loose parts inside and it wont work it recives power i know that because if hold is on and i push play it say hold like its supossed to but when hold it off it doesnt do anything the cd never turns .nothing comes up on the screen . will some one plz give me an answer

I've had the same problem with the exact same cd player. The reason that it does this is because the screws inside the spinner are loose, and prevent it from spinning. Simply take a small screwdriver and tighten them, and your days will overflow with happiness and gingerbread men.
