Murray 125/96?

I've "inheritted" a murray ride on lawn mower, it has a big collecting box on the back with a big plastic tube do-hickey but I can't figure out how to connect the tube bit to the mower bit. Does anyone have any idea where I can find this information with pictures?

The tube fits with the handle nearest the mower and facing up. Attached to the handle should be a rubber latch that pulls over a pin.
