replacing pull cord?

how do I replace pull cord on a McCulloch Mac 2818 weedeater? My manual is for Mac 2818 and Eager Beaver models EB28C & EB287. A label on the side of the motor over the choke protector says McCulloch FR48. That's all the info I have.
