Mend Renault Laguna 11 Opens Door Car

keycard opens door but won't start car Laguna 11?

Keycard opens door but will not start car no power, Renault garage states that there is a fault on the steering lock and also need a new reader and card. What are the chances that all three are faulty and need to be replaced ? if a new card was purchased would this not solve the steering lock and reader problem ?

the card reader is u/s.
take the card reader out & with the card inserted
look at the back of the unit. there is a hole
look were the white key retainer comes through your key and were it stops there is a red micro switch
press with a small screwdriver

it sounds like u got imobilse problem in car u can disable the mobilse in engin and u shoud be able to start it but u need auto machinic that nos his stuff
