my thompson digital recorder has died...why?

My thompson digital recorder (DTI6300-16, serial no. 75 6735261326 26) was working fine this morning, until i had to re tune my tv. I did this, and now when i turned the digi recorder box back on it does nothing at all, no lights or anything!! Have pressed numerous buttons, unplugged and re plugeed, even checked the fuse and tried other sockets!! Any suggestions?? I need it to work!!!
