I have the same problem. Bright screen, no text. I left the radio plugged in and after a few minutes everything came to life and all works fine. If I unplug the radio I have to the few minutes again for it work.

I've got the same issue, have checked the 3.3v on the amp board as mentioned before and it is only 0.33v, I removed the FS2020 DAB decoder board and the voltage returns to 3.3v.

Frustratingly it seems like a bin job

The problem with my pure Tempus1 is that when at rest there is no backlight showing the time. When I put pressure on the top of the unit the light comes on momentarily. However when switched on the backlight works fine and so does the radio. Any suggestions what to do

Hi, I also have the same problem with my Tempus 1, I've tried disconnecting & reconnecting all the multi pin plugs that go into the amp board, still dead????

Don't despair - My old Tempus 1 died.
I opened the back, no sign of loose leads or burning.
Unplugged all the multi-connectors on the amp board, plugged them in again and it works!
The 2 voltage regulators (U1, U2) do seem to get seriously hot, but it's now back on the bedside.

This could be serious.Ive had a couple of these in for fixing .For the technically minded check the 3.3v coming out of the amp power board.usually this is missing in these cases. The LM 317 device that supplies this voltage is usually blown. The cause is the Dab decoder board has a faulty micro controller ic (a difficult to change BGA device) solution lob it in the bin.

I have the same problem - opened and found a dark patch under component U2 on the ampboard. Has anyone seen this and changed that component with any results?

I have the same issue. Looks like a common fault.

Did anyone ever get a resolution on this. I have had the unit apart and not spootted this mystery loose wire. Can't see any blown components or any signs of dry solder joints... I've just written to PureSupport although I'm not holding my breath that they'll want to tell me where the problem is.
