Why is waste from my toilet coming out of my overflow pipe outside?
I have had a new shower and bath put in and when we put the water back on the toilet water started coming out of the overflow pipe that sticks out of my wall of my house. I repaced the air stack thing for the outside pipe as the plumber said that it didn't work as someone had painted it, could this be causing the problem?
I don't really understand this one - the overflow pipe from the loo (20mm) could well be dripping if the loo cistern is too full. Take the lid off and have a look? The new bath and toilet should drain into a vertical soil vent pipe (SVP), the top of which needs to be vented to the atmosphere above the eaves of your house.
