are they coneccected to each other?

just had the turbo on my renault espage 2lt turbo 03 plate replaced, now every so often the fuel injection system is faulty light comes on but the car seems to run fine, are the two connected, ie do you have to do something to the fuel system when you have replaced the turbo or has the garage possibly nocked some thing as they broke the plastic vacume pump pipe when changing the turbo
