oil change?

what ever COLOUR the NEW VIRGIN OIL IS could be GREEN could be golden YELLOW will be VERY BLACK if you don't remove and change the old oil filter as well
best way is drain the old oil when HOT replace the sump nut unscrew the old oil filter off with a container under neath to stop the mess,when empty screw back up now put some FLUSHING OIL into the rocker box cover watch the oil level up to the level on the stick now run the engine about 15 min's stop then drain off the flushing oil see the rubbish that will come out,now remove the old oil filter and fit the new one with a smear of oil on the rubber gasket if mounted vertically can prime with new oil now add the rest of the new oil to the mark on the stick start engine check for a leak(tighten filter up if need be) switch off wait 10 min's check the level on the dipstick top up if needed

Not a lot different from the clean oil that you filled it with. If the oil that you removed was thick and black, it sounds like the oil change was way over due. If the new oil is instantly dirt, if it was me I'd run the car for about a month and then change the oil AND filter a second time.

Good quality oil and filters are cheaper than engines.
