Its been pulled about so many times!
Its' finally snapped (the gold bit the center)
I peeled back the white plastic part but it won't work now...theres lots of meshy gold wire on top of the white plastic part (under the black cover)
Is that part of the wire suppose to be touching anything?...
aha..thankyou so much...you described it brilliantly and its' now working!
You saved me a fortune sky wouldn't billed me to fix it..

Hi.
You need to strip it all right back. The gold bit in the middle must NOT touch the meshy wire as you describe it. It's like male & female. Positive a& negative. You wont blow anything up, just no picture. Once all stripped back & the plastic will need cutting back to so you expose more of the gold wire, you will then re-attach the fittings & job done. It's very hard to describe in words how to do it. Good luck.
