Renault dash display flickering?

From my reading of the other posts in this forum, there seems to be a possible connection between having the gearing in the windows replaced (another manufacturing/design problem!!) and the flickering/fading dash display & clock resetting problems. Is there an electrical connection between these two, or is it just co-incidence that some unfortunate people have had the 2 problems? I've replaced 3 of my 4 window gearing units (the most recent only last week)and now the display panel is playing up. I am appalled at the cost of repairing these by some dealers, when it's a known manufacturer's fault!! I've now written to Watchdog & I hope everyone else with these problems does the same. Renault should be ashamed of themselves!!
