Mend Whirlpool MH7140XFQ Microwave Broken Plastic

MH7140XFQ whirlpool microwave door won't close?

One of my kids slammed the door on our microwave and now it won't latch closed. It appears that a small plastic piece has broken off. Since the door can't close properly it won't work.
