Hotpoint FFA64 Fridge/Freezer Temp?

Hi, I am unable to change the temp of the fridge, it's way too cold and there's an ice build-up even though the dial is on 1 (warmest). Also the red freezer warning light is permenantly on saying the temp is high but the freezer is still very cold.
