My toilet always makes a loud noise when i flush it. It lasts while the toilet cistern is filling up again. When i turn the tap on it stops!
The noise seems to be between the toilet and down the pipes to the boiler in the garage.
Will I need a plumber or is it something straight forward?
Thanks.

you could go and buy a torbeck ball valve to replace the noisy ball valve you have, these are great they are practically silent

another reason could be the diaphragm in the ball cock valve could be fouled up, not causing a good seating. easy job, kit from ball cock diaphragm kit from b&q couple of quid. just make sure water off when dismantling valve

my toilet makes a noise for ages when its filling up, i stopped it by turning the valve located on the pipe it looks like a little screw head this allows it to fill up quicker or slower i found messing with this and adjusting the rate that it fills back up quitened mine down a lot. mine also started juddering but messing with the valve sorted it out... hope this helps, sorry if it doesnt..
