hi i own a ford transit t280 2002 i cannot select a gear other than 3rd and 4th i have pulled away with it so there is drive but i cant get the lever to go left or right.
Could be 2 causes one your clutch plate is at its end, And the other which i suspect is the synchromesh or selector rod which is damaged, Would be cheaper replacing the gearbox with a reconditioned one rather than have it fixed! Note its a useful idead as well to replace your thrust bearing at the same time!
